Winter Lights

Taken from a footbridge along the Gatlinburg Trail in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park during a very black night. I left the shutter open for quite some time. The road our vehicle is traveling upon is Newfound Gap Road or US 441 depending upon your preference. The Gatlinburg Trail is along the very edge of the Park's boundary, its two trailheads being in the city of Gatlinburg and the Sugarlands visitor entrance. She is a lovely trail though, bounding alongside the Little Pigeon River as she does and contains several very unique ruins. Taken in December 2010
